The wealth management industry is experiencing a powerful wave of consolidation, with major M&A deals and strategic recruiting moves reshaping the RIA landscape heading into 2026. Bluespring Wealth Partners acquired SHP Financial, a $2.3 billion Massachusetts-based RIA, while McKinsey & Company sold its $26 billion investment arm MIO Partners to Neuberger Berman. CAPTRUST added Alpha Cubed Investments, a $3.8 billion RIA, and Cerity Partners announced a merger with Verus Investments, which oversees $1.2 trillion in client assets.
