Jim Abbott is Co-Head of Seward & Kissel’s Corporate M&A Practice and has been a partner with the firm since 2007. He represents public and private companies, investment funds, investment management firms, financial institutions, and business owners in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other corporate matters.
Jim has extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of business transactions and general corporate matters. He earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.
